DSS ARRESTS MAN WHO POSES AS A CHIEF MEDICAL DIRECTOR

The Directorate of State Security (DSS) in Osun State, has charged a 34-year-elderly person, Quadri Abiodun Akande, at Osogbo Chief Magistrates' Court over supposed pantomime.

Akande who purportedly introduced himself as the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of one Optimal Care Clinic and is confronting a five tally charge, annoying on pantomime and imitation argued not liable

Mr. Olayinka Balogun, the DSS examiner, on Thursday told the court that the litigant submitted the offense at some point on Dec. 31, 2017, in Osogbo.

As indicated by him, the litigant erroneously introduced himself to be a CMD with a plan to dupe unsuspected people by making an Identification Card to complete his questionable exercises.

"The litigant introduced a phony demise endorsement in regard to one perished individual, Mr. Ajibola Kazeem, to certain complainants before it was checked, and he was later captured.

"He likewise made a phony clinical report in regard of one Ilugbo Samuel, knowing to be bogus,''

He told the court.

The examiner included that Akande was captured with a phony Certificate of Annual Practicing License of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria with enlistment number PM566399.

He said the offense contradicted Section 465 and culpable under areas 467 and 484 of the criminal code top 34 vol 11, Laws of Osun, 2002.

The resistance counsel, Mr. Tajudeen Adebisi, asked the court to allow his customer bail in the most liberal terms.

Administering, the Magistrate, Dr. Olusegun Ayilara, allowed the litigant bail in a total of N1 million and a surety in like aggregate.

Ayilara said the surety must dwell inside the court purview with an oath of means and a certain location.

"He should be a government employee on grade level 12 or be a house proprietor inside the state capital,''

He included.

He, from that point, deferred the case until May 27 for hearing.
