The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) will hands-off the administration of the country's treatment facilities after their restoration.
Overseeing Director of NNPC, Mele Kyari, said this in a meeting with Arise TV on Wednesday.
He said upon culmination, an organization would be locked in to deal with the plants on an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) premise.
"We will get an O&M contract, NNPC won't run it. We will get a firm that will ensure that this plant would run for quite a while.
"We need to attempt an alternate model of getting this processing plant to run. What's more, we will apply this procedure for the running of the other two processing plants," he expressed.
Kyari said private accomplices would be welcome to put resources into the processing plants and get them to run on the NLNG model where the investors would be allowed to make choices.
He included that the model, which is very surprising from the past methodology, would ensure the ideal result for the treatment facilities.
