Two young people have purportedly suffocated while swimming at a network seashore in Ibeju-Lekki region of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.
The disaster happened on Saturday.
The names of the expired were giving as Dare, 16 and Fawas, 15.
Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos Police Command, Baal Elkana, in an announcement on Sunday said the Police got a misery call that Dare and Fatwas, the two occupants of Epelemeje Orofun people group, Akodo, Ibeju-lekki, supposedly got suffocated while playing in the network seashore.
"The Command has sent its Marine Police Team to the zone on search and salvage tasks.
"The Command exhorted guardians to screen their youngsters and guarantee that they stay at home during this lockdown period,"
He said.
